Ankara

Ankara is the capital city of Turkey. It has 5 million population. It is the Central Anatolia Region. Ankara is the third biggest city of Turkey. Independence day of Ankara is 13 th October. It is a formal city. 

Ankara has a lot of museums such as Ethnography Museum, Anatolian Civilizations Museum, Atatürk Museum, Art and Sculpture Museum. There are a lot of historical places in Ankara. Ankara Castle is one of them. The most important place in Ankara is Anıtkabir. It is the place where Atatürk's funeral is placed and you can see Atatürk's belongings, smal museums there.

Ankara is famous for Ankara cat, pear, Angora goat, folk or traditional music. It has National Library, Atakule. Famous meals in Ankara are Ankara's fried meat, (gozleme)pancake, fladbread.

Turkish Grand National Assembly is in Ankara. You can see all the ministeries while you are walking around in Ankara. It has traditional rugs. Ankara is famous for Ankara houses. There are a lot of (thermal spring) spa centers in Ankara.
